From simple beginnings.. a jar of mud from the Sonoran Desert.

We are one of the most knowledgeable and capable full-service, private label and contract manufacturers of Cosmeceuticals, Fine Toiletries, Skin Care, Hair Care, Treatment Cosmetics, Personal Care products and Candles. Our modern 132,000 square foot manufacturing facility is located in Phoenix, Arizona.

For over 30 years, it has been our primary goal to be different from others in our field by always being at the forefront of current trends & innovation, and quality products.

Arizona Natural Resources, Inc. was founded in 1972 with a product that came bubbling up from the ground. Down To Earth Mineral Mud Mask was the product that launched the company. This mud has been used for thousands of years in Arizona by the Yavapai Indians for beautification and for it's "pulling" quality. Other natural products, such as Cactus Moisturizer and Shampoo, were introduced to this line in the early 1970's.

Mid 1970's - We started manufacturing treatment cosmetics and toiletries for the department store trade. By 1980, Arizona Natural Resources, Inc. was manufacturing private label products for 80% of the department stores in the United States that carried a private label program. We continue to manufacture private label lines for many fine department stores today.

1982 - We purchased "Living Nail" Nail Hardener from Bendyne Ltd. "Living Nail" is a nail hardening product sold to the department store trade. We sold "Living Nail" in 2000.

1986 - We started making product for the hotel amenities industry, manufacturing the small bottles of personal care products given to hotel guests, and continue to do so to date.

1991 - We expanded into contract manufacturing and private labeling of candles. Crystal Candles Corporation was purchased, a manufacturer of candles, specifically the Lord Byron's Smoker's odor eliminating candle, the Pet odor elminating candle, and Scentual Pleasures Aromatherapy candles. Crystal Candles continues to manufacture exceptional candles for some of the largest fine fragrance marketing companies in the world.

1995 - We recognized the need for innovative, cutting-edge new technologies for personal care and cosmeceutical products and staffed our Research & Development Laboratory to accommodate this new direction. This enables Arizona Natural Resources to offer new proprietary formulas that are truly different and unique in an industry full of "me too" products.

2007 - We expanded the range of products that we can manufacture to include Organic products. To enable us to manufacture products that can display the USDA seal, we implemented manufacturing procedures that are compliant with the USDA's National Organics Program's (NOP) stringent standards and regulations. We are certified by CCOF, a USDA accredited organic certifying agency.

ARIZONA NATURAL RESOURCES is a family-owned business, started by George F. Dembow, Jr. and is currently operated by his two sons, George III and Paul.
